The world of haute couture is a dazzling realm where fashion transcends mere clothing and becomes an art form. Paris, with its rich history and legacy in the world of high fashion, plays host to the most prestigious Haute Couture shows in the world. In this article, we will take you on a journey through the highs and highs of the Paris Haute Couture shows, shedding light on what makes them so unique and the distinction between haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion weeks.. 

Each year, the Paris Haute Couture shows attract billions in revenue, making it a cornerstone of the fashion industry. For many, it's a dream to be part of this extravagant spectacle. And so, my journey began as I boarded a flight from Venice to Paris, ready to immerse myself in the world of high fashion. 

Haute couture, as defined by The Business of Fashion, is the highest level of handcrafted fashion, tailored to perfection. Unlike ready-to-wear fashion, which is mass-produced, haute couture garments are custom-made for individual clients. This exclusivity and attention to detail make haute couture the epitome of luxury in the fashion world.

My first day in Paris was nothing short of spectacular. I had the privilege of working backstage at the Gamatista Vali show, an experience that left me in awe of the creativity and precision that goes into haute couture. The pictures from the event on my Instagram captured the magic.

As a hairstylist, I take immense pride in using top-quality products to create stunning looks. Throughout the week, I relied on ICON's range of products, including QG foam, Done hairspray, Cream wax, and Reformer for long-lasting curls. To enhance definition, I used ANTIDOTE on wet hair and OIL DRY INDIA spray for a glossy finish. For that extra volume, POWDER was my go-to product.

On the 5th of July, I spent the entire day working on VIP clients for the FENDI event. These are individuals who annually spend a substantial sum on FENDI products, earning them the privilege of attending exclusive shows and events organized by the brand. It was a day of luxury and glamour, ensuring that each client looked and felt their best.

My gastronomic journey in Paris was as remarkable as the fashion shows. I indulged in authentic French cuisine, with a particular fondness for tatar with salad. It was a culinary delight that perfectly complemented the high fashion experience.

On the 8th of July, I had the honor of photographing one of FENDI's top clients, Amanda Tacker, and her husband. This was the icing on the cake, a moment that encapsulated the opulence and glamour of the Paris Haute Couture week.

As my Paris adventure came to a close, I boarded a flight back to Venice. However, my journey took an unexpected turn when my luggage was misplaced upon arrival. Undeterred, I attended a lavish party in Cavalino and spent a serene day by the sea before retrieving my luggage and returning to Slovenia.In conclusion, the Paris Haute Couture shows are not just fashion events; they are a celebration of artistry, craftsmanship, and luxury. From working behind the scenes to pampering VIP clients, this journey was a dream come true. It was an experience that will forever be etched in my memory, and I look forward to the next Paris Haute Couture extravaganza with great anticipation.
